I trained in applied art, with a five-year diploma (GDArt) in 1993. I then spent 21 years at an international advertising agency, on brands such as Finolex, Marvel, Sun-n-Sand Hotels and Bajaj Finance.
I started designing websites in 2005 and have designed more than 300 websites in the last 20 years. Since 2014 I have run my own studio, building websites for businesses: shops, clinics, corporates, consultants and service companies.
Every website runs on WordPress, so you change your own text and photos. Hosting, SSL and the first year of maintenance come with every plan, so nothing technical is left for you to arrange.
Working alone is deliberate. You deal with the person who designs your site, with no sales team and no handovers, so a question gets a direct answer.

What should I look for in a web design company in Pune?
Look for clear prices, real client work, a site you can edit yourself and a person you can call. A good Pune web designer publishes the prices, shows finished work and answers the phone. I do all three, in English, Hindi or Marathi.
How much does a website cost in Pune?
My plans start at ₹5,000 for a one-page website, ₹10,000 for up to five pages and ₹15,000 for up to ten. Hosting, SSL and a year of maintenance are included, which keeps my website design affordable. See the full price list.
Why choose a one-person studio instead of a larger web designing firm in Pune?
You deal with the designer, not a sales team. The person who takes your first call also designs and builds your website, so nothing is lost between departments, and the same person helps you after launch.
Do you work on search engine optimisation too?
Free basic SEO comes with the Business and Premium plans: page titles, descriptions and headings written for local search. I never promise a Google position, because nobody can honestly do that. Read about SEO.
Can I edit my website myself?
Yes. Every site I build runs on WordPress with an admin area, so you can change text and photos without code. Content changes you ask me to make are quoted per update.
What do I pay after the first year?
From year two, ₹5,300 a year covers your domain, hosting, SSL and maintenance, or ₹4,800 if you own your domain.
Where is your studio?

Do I need a registered business to have a website?
No. Anyone can have a website, with or without a registered company or Shop Act licence. Many people run personal blogs.
Can I use a domain name I already own?
Yes. I build on your existing domain. The price stays the same, because the domain in my package is complimentary, but I deduct the yearly renewal you pay for your own domain.
What do the plans include?
Every plan includes hosting, SSL, a contact form with autoreply, the WordPress admin area and a year of maintenance. The domain is included on Business and Premium, and costs ₹800 extra on Basic. Business and Premium also include free basic SEO. Just Design is design only, on your own domain and hosting.
Do you design online shops?
Yes. I build shops with clear product pages, secure payment gateways and a simple checkout.
Will my website work on phones?
Yes. Every site I build is responsive: images, text and layout adjust to the screen, so it reads well on phones, tablets and laptops.
How long does a website take?
A basic five-page website takes about a week. Larger or more complex sites take up to four weeks. Late text and photos are the usual cause of delay.
Do you write the content?
Usually I ask clients for their own text and photos. I can write content as a paid extra. I do not take separate SEO jobs.
How do you handle security and backups?
Every site gets free SSL, regular WordPress updates and regular backups.
Do you look after websites you did not build?
Yes. I offer maintenance plans for sites I did not design, for owners who only want their website looked after. Sites I build include a year of maintenance.
Can I switch designers later?
Yes. The website belongs to you, and you are free to move to any designer.

How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds of changes. More can be added on request, and charges may apply depending on how big the changes are.
